Summer of Selfies

I can't believe I'm doing a post about the selfies I took last summer, but see yesterday's owl post for an explanation of that. All I can say is, I'm so glad that cell phones and "selfies" didn't exist when I was a teenager!
I'm wearing the same blue-and-white striped shirt in a lot of these pictures. I wore a lot more shirts than that last summer, so I think it must be something about that shirt that prompts me to take pictures of myself!

On the trolley ride in Hershey, PA with a conked-out Sam on my lap:

4th of July evening in Hershey Park. My makeup had all come off because of some rides we went on  that left us soaked, and my hair was a mess, but I don't know, I kind of like it! Sam redeems it.

Oh no, a bathroom selfie! I posted this one recently.
This was at a cute cupcake shop on Main Street in Hyannis.

Trying on a dress at Macy's. I decided to get it, and it turned out to be a great dress for our cruise.

On the Brewster tidal flats.
I hate these sunglasses now. They look like ant eyes. Ugh!

At our windswept beach one evening.
(I don't like these sunglasses anymore either. They look like old lady glasses to me now. I had gotten a pair of trendy aviators but they broke quickly. I have since gotten a pair of sunglasses that I love!)

I thought I was pretty creative to take a picture of my reflection in the mirror. A self-reflective selfie.
How original.

These two selfies crack me up. I was keeping myself entertained while waiting for Peter to finish getting ready before we went out to dinner at the Brazilian Grill in Hyannis. Note that I took these selfies with my actual camera, old-school style!
I crack myself up.

A rather unflattering selfie that I took in an old mirror at the antique store. Another reflective selfie. See how reflective and introspective I am? There is metaphor or a deeper lesson in there somewhere, but I don't have the time or the desire to go chasing it.

And that was my summer of selfies! Hopefully there will be a lot fewer this summer!
