Reunited with Romeo

I was going to title this post "I Found My Romeo" but it was a little misleading because he's not my Romeo, he's my nephew Shane's Romeo, and I didn't really find him, he was brought to me (sometimes I think way too literally πŸ˜„). Instead, I was reunited with Romeo. Who is Romeo, you might ask? He's Shane's cat. 😸

Romeo and I developed a good relationship during the year that my sister's family lived with me, and I missed him when they moved out. But over a year after that happened, I was finally reunited with my Romeo when Shane asked me to take care of him while they were away on vacation. So Romeo spent a few days at my house, and it was just like old times again. He remembered me pretty quickly, and it was really nice being together again. We bonded again, the two of us. This happens more easily when you're a lonely single pet lady like myself πŸ˜„. I've missed having a cat ever since Bentwood passed away ten months ago, and I'm thinking about getting a cat later this year. In the meantime, I've got Romeo! Well, sometimes.

He totally reminds me of Pete the Cat!

Look at that long classic cat tail!

When cats do this, I call it "Triceratops ears." πŸ˜†

He liked the oversized chair down in the basement...

...and he also liked keeping me awake most of the night on his first night here, jumping on the bed and butting my head, harassing me to pet him, etc. So I locked him out the second night, then gave him another chance the third night, and he was much better after that! I'm a natural cat trainer, you see. πŸ˜‰

It was good to have a cat in the house again. 🐈 I look forward to it happening again!
