My Special Candle in My Special Room

That may be the cheesiest blog post title I've ever written on this blog, but it is what it is. πŸ˜„

I bought a unique, special candle a few months ago at An Unlikely Story. They were selling candles in scents for various classics--don't ask me how they came up with what Jane Eyre and Pride and Prejudice would smell like, but I liked the idea because I like candles and books, so I got a Jane Eyre candle since that's my favorite book. It smells really good and is what I would kind of think the novel would smell like, somehow!

The clever little box the candle came in...

And here is the lovely candle itself

I like the explanation for how they came up with the scent.

I keep the candle in my "project room" as I like to call it--the fourth bedroom of our house that would have gone to a third child if we'd been able to have one but instead is a catch-all room for my random things and projects. It's a happy place for me.

I only burn the candle when I'm in there for pleasure-reading as I sit in my glider that was in the boys' rooms when they were babies.

Check out my owl wall and my basket of owls! No wonder this room is my happy place.

An upcoming project is to go through and clean out the photo albums. Many will go into storage because they're just not as fun to look at when the husband/father in the family has left but remains behind in the albums. So that particular area of the room is not quite as happy as the other parts right now, but it will be.

I've been enjoying this new tradition I've made for myself of pleasure-reading in my special chair with my special candle in my special room. It's all very...special! 😁
