Weekend at the Cape with the Boys

The boys and I spent the Friday to Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend at the Cape and as usual, we had a nice, relaxing time there. That house is such a blessing in my life. (And the boys of course are even more of a blessing in my life, which goes without saying, but I felt the need to acknowledge it! ๐Ÿ˜„)

We went out to dinner on Friday at Olive Garden. I hadn't eaten there in a long time so it was good to be back. I love their salad and their black tie mousse cake (and I got them both, along with a delicious salmon entree and a fruity lemonade). We all ate well.

We had to run over to Kohl's that night because in a rare organizational lapse, I forgot to pack a swimsuit for Sam. We needed swimsuits because the next day we went to the Cape Codder's indoor waterpark for the morning. It's a small waterpark so we're pretty much done after a couple of hours, but it's fun and it's something different. I'm proud to say that I went down three out of four of the slides, I did the wave pool, and I did the lazy river. And of course the hot tub. ๐Ÿ˜Š

We relaxed for the afternoon at the house, and then we enjoyed a delicious dinner at one of our favorite restaurants, Brazilian Grill.

On Sunday we went to Sacrament Meeting at the Brewster Branch, so that's why Sam is dressed up in this fun little series of pictures...

It looks like he's balancing the pot on his head!

And here are a couple of Sam on the stairs. He was being a ham that morning!

It was nice to be back at the branch again. The boys helped pass the sacrament and I snapped this picture of them before the meeting began because I was surprised and delighted that hardly anyone was wearing a mask. It was like old times again, and I fully supported it. Down with masks for those who don't want to wear them!

After sacrament meeting we left to go home directly from the church (home home, not Cape home). It was a pleasant, peaceful weekend and I'm glad we were able to do it. It really was a great Thanksgiving last year!
