A Tour of My Apartment

I moved into my new apartment four-and-a-half months ago. It's smaller than anything I've lived in in almost 20 years. But it's nice, and it's big enough with two bedrooms and two bathrooms (but no bookshelves, treadmill, piano...😭). I do miss the townhouse a lot, and I mentally curse my former landlady whenever I see her around in the neighborhood (she sold her properties, which is why I had to move), but this will do, and I'm very thankful that I was able to get it.

The entryway hall

Inside those double doors on the left side is the washer and dryer, and a large shelving area above them.

The kitchen is nice, and the cabinets have a lot of storage space (but I still need to use my pantry to hold food).

(That's the pantry on the left.)

Sam's bathroom

Sam's bedroom. It has a nice, big walk-in closet with lots of storage space (which we need and use!).

The dining area

The kitchen, dining area, and living room are all one big open space. It's cozy. 😄

My desk/office area fits the space it's in nicely.

I forgot to take pictures of it, but that door goes out to a private balcony deck with a nice view of the woods all around.

My bedroom is right off the living room, which is weird, but such is the nature of apartment living.

I thank my lucky stars that the chaise lounge chair fits!

Like Sam's room, my room also has a decent-sized walk-in closet with good storage. (Although I have to say that it can't come close to the last three walk-in closets I had, which could have been whole rooms on their own!)

My room has its own bathroom, which is great. I'm very used to having my own bathroom, and to have to share one would have been a big adjustment that I would not have enjoyed.

Something that this apartment has that the townhouse didn't is a spacious tub that you can lie down and soak in--my bath nights are back! 🙌

I like how the afternoon sunlight comes shining in. 🌞

It's a good place to live. The apartment is right on the woods where there are some great walking trails, and there's also a full gym, an outdoor pool in the summer, a game room, and some other things like that. It's in the same neighborhood as the townhouse, which Sam and I both wanted because we like the location. While it's not ideal, it's certainly not bad, and I will continue to follow God's plan for my life and the situations that come up, whether they come from Him or not!
