I went out for dinner in mid-September with my best friends from middle/high school (over 30 years of friendship still going strong there!), and they surprised me with a big, wonderful bridal gift basket, along with a bridal sash to wear at dinner. It was so fun! I wasn't expecting any of that! I'm so thankful for these friends—Jen, Kerry, Jill, and Bonnie. They mean so much to me, and have known me since I was 13. They've been just as much of a blessing in my life as my church friends have been. Not to divide my friends up like that, because essentially, they're all good and special people and friends, whether they belong to the church or not!

This beautiful basket was full and heavy with generous and thoughtful and fun gifts from the four of them. I opened them all at the dinner, and then went through them a few days later with David.

It was such a fun evening with such good friends. I feel very thankful and blessed for the friends in my life. And now the husband in my life, too. (It happened four weeks ago today!)
