Family Lake House + Fun on the Lake

I now interrupt my regularly scheduled programming to announce that this is my 2000th post on The Doll Sweet Journal! 🙌 It only took 17 years to get there! 😄 I can't believe I've been blogging for that long! What a stickler I am for habit! I'm glad I still do this blog. It's a fun and easy way to chronicle my life with the pictures that I take. I've kept it public, and I dearly hope that it's not being exploited in some way or getting mined for AI data or something (sometimes my page views are suspiciously very high out of nowhere). But, foolish or not, I won't let that deter me, and I plan to keep it up. Here's to another 2000 posts? 😅

Okay, back to business!

David's parents have a beautiful cabin on a lake in Montana. They have a family reunion there every two years for their seven kids and their families. It was a reunion year, and I got to be there for part of it. It was fun to meet David's family; they are great!

That's David. This was the last day when we were the only ones left with his parents.

I like the log cabin style—it's a popular look in Montana.

Being on a lake, there is much fun to be had on that lake. There's a motorboat, David's sailboat, tubes, canoes and kayaks, paddleboards, and more.

This is David's sailboat, which he's had for a long time.

He's an excellent sailor, and he helped teach me the ropes (pun intended). We did an annual sailing race on the lake together on the Saturday I was there, and we won! Or rather, he won—I didn't do that much except change the sails when he told me to. 😄 And then he proposed to me on the boat! He had to make sure I liked sailing before he proposed. 😆 So this is an especially special boat to me now. 😊

Tubes are always fun for a good time. David's sister Ginger took these pictures, along with the ones of us on the sailboat.

I discovered on this trip that David has perfect man legs. They're long, strong, well-shaped, and have just the right amount of hair on them. His skin also tans really well. He's a lucky duck.

The two missing siblings from this picture had been there earlier in July, so they weren't there when I was there.
I'm older than the youngest sibling by a few months. So I guess the age difference between David and me can't be that much, right? 😉

There was a beautiful sunset over the lake one evening, and we went out on the motorboat for a ride around the lake to see it. It was spectacular!

The family reunion was a lot of fun, as was David's family. I loved the house and the lake and them. I'm looking forward to doing it all again in the future!
