Two Stained Glass Owls in One Month!

What are the chances that I'd become the lucky owner of not one but two stained glass owls in the same month when I'd never even had a stained glass owl before? ๐Ÿ˜ฎ Needless to say, November was a good month for me when it came to stained glass owls! ๐Ÿ˜„

First, after deliberating about it for several weeks in light of my new financial realities, I went ahead and bought a stained glass owl lamp that I'd had my eye on for awhile when it went on sale for 25% off.

I mean really, how could I not?! ๐Ÿ˜

I put it on the dresser that's near my bed, so it feels a bit like a sentinel watching out over me as I sleep.

I love this lamp and I have no regrets about buying it!

The second stained glass owl that flew into my life (๐Ÿ˜‰) last month was a surprise. My dear friend Meredith has become very good at stained glass art, and she made me a stained glass owl for my birthday. It's beautiful!

And unbeknownst to her, it's even my favorite type of owl, the great horned owl, though I like them all. I will treasure this beautiful owl always. The things that loved ones make for us are the most special things of all.

It's especially pretty when the sun shines through it. Which I guess is the whole idea of stained glass. ๐Ÿ˜‰

In the spirit of gratitude and Thanksgiving, I'm going to try to end all of my November posts with things that I'm thankful for. I'm thankful for owls and for the beauty of stained glass and for the love of good friends. ๐Ÿฆ‰๐Ÿ’–
