Organizing Project: The Boys' Clothes

As I mentioned in a previous post, I've been working on going through bin after bin of the boys' clothes from the newborn stage up through the near-present. I'm doing this in preparation for downsizing to a smaller house next year but even more because the clothes have just been sitting in bins for years when other people can use them. It's unlikely at this point that I'll be having any more babies--although you never know, miracles do happen 😆--but even if I do, I don't need to hold on to all of these clothes anymore.

I sorted the clothes by age into three piles--keep, donate, and sell. The following pictures are what I've been selling on Facebook Marketplace over the last few weeks. There are more pictures than these, and the project isn't over yet. It's been nice to make some extra money and sell good-quality boys' clothes to other parents looking for a good deal on them.

Look at these cute little barely-worn sneakers!

The boys had a lot of nice sweaters and button-up shirts for church.

Violet certainly enjoyed cuddling up in the mess!

I made sure to wash those clothes before I boxed them up for buyers!

The boys wore nice church coats too

Here's a little one...oh my heart!

I remember when Sam wore this winter coat when he was 2-3 years old!

This was after I'd gotten everything sorted, organized, photographed, and boxed up. It was many hours worth of work!

About half of the clothes have sold so far and I've made a couple hundred off them. Not a fortune by any means, but every little bit helps and I feel good that they're going to people who will use them for their kids.

I'm thankful for having been able to clothe my children in nice, high-quality clothes their whole lives, and for being able to help others do the same for their children now.
