I caught a butterfly, a monarch butterfly! On camera, that is. Before we get too far into fall (yeah, I know it's November now) I need to post these pictures I took of this beautiful monarch butterfly in the late summer. When I saw it on the newly sprouted purple flower bush in my front yard, I ran inside to get my camera and hoped it would still be there when I came back out. Luckily it was, but it flew away soon after that so I only got one really good shot. My inspiration was Sharon over at
A New England Life, who gets the most beautiful pictures of animals, insects, and nature close-up. I have a long way to go before my pictures become like hers, but it's fun to practice and try!
