Not pre-wedding jitters; I didn't have too many of those. In the spirit of my fantastic blog here, it's pre-wedding randoms.
I filled out this cute little board that my friends got me in my bridal gift basket.
David worked on our honey favors during the Saturday evening session of General Conference. He did almost all of them himself (I wasn't slacking; I was busy doing other wedding-related things!).
We gave big bottles to the people who helped us with the open house.
We had fun with the bee puns for the big bottles and the small jars.
Beth brought me a beautiful bouquet of dahlias while I was working at the library for my "wedding week flowers." It was so thoughtful and kind of her, and whenever I saw them that week, they reminded me of the love and support of my friends and family, which has been a huge blessing in my life.
The petals of dahlias are so geometric and neat. They are a true work of nature/God's art!
😱
I squeezed in time for a professional manicure and pedicure the day before the wedding.
I'm SO THANKFUL that my dress arrived on time. Here it was, safe and sound and ready to go in my closet!
After getting stuck in shipping in Poland, the dressmaker made me another dress and had it shipped more directly from Kazakhstan (all at no cost to me!). It went through Dubai, Paris, and then to Boston. It arrived eleven days before the wedding. 😅 It fit fine except the front was too long. I was able to find a tailor who could hem it and get it done in time. I picked it up from her two days before the wedding!
😊
These were wedding gifts for the honeymoon that David had dropped off earlier in the week.
Want to know what was in the big box? Knowing how much I like baths, he made me a water heater to keep the bath water at the same nice warm/hot temperature the whole time I'm in it. It's awesome!
Here I was, all dressed up with someplace very important to go! I got my hair and makeup done that morning, then came home and got dressed and ready to go. I felt beautiful!
The back of the dress had this pretty sash that came down from the shoulders.
If I'd had more time with the dress before the wedding, I may have had an alteration done to tighten it up a little more at the waist, because I felt like it looked a little wide, especially in the back, in some of the pictures. Or maybe my butt is just getting bigger and I'm getting fatter. 😆 But it's okay. I felt like a queen the whole day!
David had two brothers come out for the wedding, and a sister and her husband. It was great to have them there!
It was a special time, and it all led up to a very special event! Pictures of that tomorrow!
