Our Wedding Day: At the Temple

Our wedding day was on Friday, October 10th, which was the nine-month anniversary of our first date! Nine months of growing and developing—our relationship was ready to have its metaphorical baby! I know it seems fast, but it was right for us, and in the almost two months since, I know we did the right thing. ๐Ÿ’–

It was a beautiful fall day: sunny and clear (a little too sunny—more cloud cover would have been good for the pictures because we wouldn't have had to deal with shadows—but I'm not complaining!). It was cold in the morning, but then it warmed up to a comfortable cool. Our sealing in the Boston Temple, which is a very special place to both of us, was at 1:00 (keeping with the 1 and 0 theme we seem to have!). It was a beautiful sealing, and I was thankful to have many good friends there.

We were sealed by the temple president, who was the stake president when David served on the high council years ago, so they knew each other well. He's also the former CEO of Dell! I remember reading a big one-page Wall Street Journal article about him years ago. He and his wife are wonderful people, and she loaned me her earrings to wear for the day because I sadly somehow forgot mine. I'm sure they were real diamonds and pearls, too!

After the sealing, we came outside for pictures, and here they are! I'll do a separate post with my favorites that our photographer took. Most of these are pictures that friends took and sent me.

We came out to our friends and family lined up on both sides, clapping and cheering. It was so fun! This is one of my favorite pictures of the whole day. It looks like the light of heaven is shining down on us.

I like how David is looking at me here.

And here!

Here we are talking to our photographer, Bradley. He's a friend of mine from my former ward who took family pictures of the boys and me, along with John's senior pictures two years ago, which came out great!

My good friend Melanie came out from Iowa for the sealing. It was wonderful to have her there!

Melanie said she likes this one because it looks like I'm her guardian angel. ๐Ÿ˜‡

We took pictures with family who were able to be there. For me, it was only my parents.

With the aforementioned parents ๐Ÿ˜„

I think the pictures of me and Mom turned out really nice. I mean, I look amazing. ๐Ÿ˜†

And just this one (for now) of Dad and me.

And then it was just me, David, and Bradley.

Like I said yesterday, if I'd had time, I may have had the dress tightened more at the waist to create more of an A-line shape. But it's fine! I'm happy with how things turned out.

See what I mean about shadows!?

David wrote "Just Married" on the back of his car. It lasted through our whole honeymoon week and beyond until he washed it off! We got a lot of fun honks and waves that week. People are so nice. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Too sunny!

So sunglasses it is!

It was one of the best days of my life, and definitely the best day of David's life! ๐Ÿ˜„ It was a beautiful wedding day, and the one that will matter most. ๐Ÿค
