Christmas Eve and Day

Christmas Eve is my favorite day of the whole year! It was more subdued this year, but it was still a good day.

Our annual Christmas Eve dinner feast. I made pot roast and homemade rolls(!!).

Sam dug right into the pot roast. Yum yum!

My brother Nate and his girlfriend Kat stopped by for a few minutes with some goodies for us. I was so glad, because I absolutely love Kat's cupcakes (and I like seeing Nate and Kat too ๐Ÿ˜†). Her cupcakes are so delicious, and the frosting she makes is light and fluffy and divine.

Heaven!

Santa hadn't visited yet but there was a present-fest under the tree thanks to my mom!

The advent candle was getting to its lowest point. That's what happens on Christmas Eve!

Sam put together a plate of goodies for Santa with a note.

Christmas tree selfies! ๐Ÿ˜

๐Ÿ˜˜๐Ÿ˜‚
+ Check out my bow earrings! I only wear them in December! I have a pair in gold too.

Brian was way up high on the tree, right below the star, for our last day with him. I forgot to put this in last week's post about him so here it is now.

Here is one of the reasons I don't like blinking lights. I wasn't able to get a single Christmas Eve night picture of the tree with all the lights on at the same time!

Aaarghhh! Oh well. In future years, it's going to be all solid lights!

Christmas Day

This was a gift for me from my dad. It was almost too pretty to unwrap, and definitely pretty enough to take a picture of!

I decided to save the festive twirly ribbons from the present and use them as a decoration.

John got tons of Fortnite gift cards. He was happy!

Presents, somewhat organized.

Evening scene. The December Dishscape was a good one and I had it on almost every day.

As I said before, it was a more subdued Christmas, but nothing can take away from the special meaning and spirit of Christmas, which will always be there no matter what else is going on in the world and in our lives! ๐ŸŽ„
