New Hampshire with Friends

On a fun November weekend last year, four of my best friends from high school and I traveled an hour north to New Hampshire for shopping, eating out, and relaxing. It was so nice to get away with them for a weekend!

Bonnie, Jen, and Jill

Me and Kerry

We went shopping and Jen got a gold face mask that she tried that night. It wasn't easy to peel off!

On Saturday we went shopping at a nice outdoor outlet mall. I love outlet shopping and I hadn't done it in awhile so I bought a lot, including Christmas presents.

The fruits of our labors!

That night we watched the beginning of the Bruins game because Jen's husband, who is a police officer, was part of the flag ceremony at the beginning. I took some pictures of the TV screen to try to capture him.

That's him holding the Massachusetts flag, second from the right.

Before dinner that night we stopped at Target and practically had the store to ourselves, so we had some fun like the high-school girls we once were would have had. (Writing that makes me feel old!)

Bonnie made this collage of our Target adventure for Facebook. Check me out on the skateboard!

Then we went to dinner, and when we got back to the hotel we chilled out in the hot tub. (One of my favorite oxymorons, BTW--both to say and to do!)

When I got home I piled all of my shopping bags in the office and dealt with them later.

It was so nice to get away for a weekend with some of my best and oldest friends. We had a great time and I can't wait to do it again. We were going to get together for a weekend at my Cape house a few weeks ago but then the virus and social distancing happened so we couldn't. Like so many other things right now, it will have to be a pleasure deferred!
