My Sunbeams

Isn't this the cutest trio of 4-year-olds you've ever seen!? This is my Sunbeams class. My church calling for much of last year was to be their teacher. It's the best calling I've ever had in the church. Camden, Karinn, and Alyssa have been a joy to teach and I just love them (even when they're being less than angelic!). They say and do some of the funniest things, as well as some of the sweetest things, like the big group bear hug they gave me two Sundays ago during our lesson. There is something special about the innocent goodness of children that I've always found to be inspiring and uplifting. I get to be their teacher this year too, only we'll have three other girls in our class as well, so the class will double in size. The more the merrier! (I hope!)

They are so cute! I thought you were moving up to Caroline's class. Do you know who's teaching that class? I'm going to be teaching 3 kids in the 9 year old class, which includes David. I'm excited, but a little sad to leave my girls. They were difficult, but I loved them.

By the way, totally off the topic, but you should get on facebook. I like it way more than myspace. Myspace has lots of teens on it and facebook has more grown-ups. I have people like Pam Bazyc and Cheryl English as friends from facebook. Anyway, just a thought. Let me know if you do it.

Caroline will be in my class. I'll be teaching the CTR 5 & 6's, so they're taking the younger ones from her old class and putting them in with my class. Her class was too big for them to keep it the way it was. Your new class sounds like it will be easier than your old one, and three kids is a great class size!

I'll join Facebook soon. Many of my friends from h.s. are on MySpace but I have some other ones from college on Facebook. I might just open accounts on both. I'll let you know when I join!

Oh good! Caroline will be happy to hear that you are her teacher. I have both myspace and facebook accounts. I basically got on myspace just so I could be friends with Jason and Grant! haha

They are a cute class. It makes me miss my Sunbeams and being in Primary. When the kids are cute it can be great fun, but when it's a trial to teach, it's so hard to go to church. After being released last week and being able to attend Relief Society and Sunday School after a few years, I felt like people really felt I was finally let go of something bad. Primary was a good calling for me, it was more of my personal life that got in the way. My last class was more challenging, but what calling doesn't have it's hard times? I feel terrible that Primary in our Ward is having a hard time getting fully staffed and wish people could feel better about the call. I'm very glad you are enjoying it!
