David does beekeeping for a hobby, and it's been fun learning more about it from him. In September, I helped him with harvesting the season's supply of honey from his hives (meaning I helped a little while watching him do most of it 😄). It was really neat! We used the honey for our wedding favors, so it was especially significant to harvest the honey together.

Then the shavings get put into this extractor and get spun around for awhile. This is what makes the honey come out of the wax.
The final product is, of course, the honey! And it's truly delicious!
(Doesn't David's hand look a bit like the hand of God in this painting picture? 😆)
This was a fun thing to learn about, and I plan to take it up as a hobby with David in the future. Honey is yummy, especially when you make it with your honey bunny!
