Where We Ate at Universal

There were three specific restaurants at Universal that are my favorites that I wanted to eat at, and fortunately we were able to get into all of them!

Three Broomsticks

Three Broomsticks is in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and it's one of my long-time favorites because of its delicious food and its really good theming. You feel like you're in the movie or book when you eat there. We ate lunch there on our first day. John and Sam both got the giant turkey leg meal, and I got the rotisserie chicken. And of course we all got butterbeers to drink!

My chicken and potatoes and corn on the cob were very good.

John demolished his turkey leg. Sam did not, which is why I don't have pictures of him with his.

Vivo Italian Kitchen

Vivo is a really good Italian restaurant at Universal's CityWalk that makes their own fresh pasta. The food is authentic and delicious. We squeaked our way into eating dinner there by agreeing to take an outdoor table--otherwise, they were all booked up until late that evening. I don't mind eating outdoors; in fact, I love it!

John got a seafood dish and ate it all.

I got classic spaghetti and meatballs. I wanted to get something that had their fresh pasta in it, and their meatballs are super good too!

And Sam got lasagna. We all ate well that evening!

The Toothsome Chocolate Emporium

This is my favorite restaurant at Universal. I love the steampunk theming, and the food is really good. They also have a lot of fun and decadent desserts as well as a good (but not good for you!) sweets shop. We ate lunch here on our last day, and we were lucky to get in because when we were leaving they were all booked up for the next several hours. Here's a tip for dining at theme parks when they don't take reservations--get there early for your meals--lunch in the 11:00 hour and dinner in the 5:00 hour. Early birds get the worm!

Waiting for our table. Even early birds have to wait a bit at popular places like these!

I liked this Mother's Day display.

We got avocado bruschetta for an appetizer and it was so good! Bruschetta is my favorite appetizer.

The boys tease me for taking pictures of my food and now I have proof that they do it too!

I got this cocoa-dusted pork tenderloin and it was delicious. I ate every last bite of everything on the plate. Look at the bright healthy colors of the veggies!

John ate all of his meal too.

Sam got a decadent milkshake for dessert, and again, more proof of hypocrisy on the part of the boys! "No one cares what food you ate Mom." Oh really? Ha ha!

I got a pot of chocolate pudding for my dessert. 😋

We were well fed at Universal and all of my food goals for there were deliciously accomplished!
