A Special Evening with My Sons

In September I went to one of the most special places on earth (with a strong connection to heaven!) with two of the most important people on earth to me. John, Sam, and I went to the ward youth temple night for them to do baptisms for the dead at the Boston Temple. John had done baptisms in the past, but it was Sam's first time, and I'd never been to the temple with them before, so it really was a special first for us. It was a beautiful evening and I loved being there with my boys. Despite--and because of--the hardships in our family this past year, I know we're being looked out for always, and nowhere do I feel that more strongly than when I'm in the temple. I love it there, and I love being there with my sons as we participate in sacred work that blesses the lives of others as well as our own.

This picture would be perfect if the spire and angel Moroni were in it. πŸ˜‡ Just a bit higher!

There they are!

A very socially distanced picture of Sam. πŸ˜„ I tried to get some better ones but he didn't cooperate!

After our time in the temple everyone who went met at Chick-fil-a for dinner. It's kind of a tradition in the ward--a delicious and fun tradition! It was a wonderful evening, and we've done another one since, and I'm looking forward to doing more in the future. Our lives are truly blessed by the temple and by the restored gospel of Jesus Christ.
