Sam the Mer-Man

One day this summer we went to Corporation Beach in Dennis for the first time in several years. It was me, Peter, the boys, and my mom. It was nice to go back there again because it's a good bayside beach with happy memories from the past from when the boys were younger.

I like how for beach directions it just ends in a mass of blue for the ocean. πŸ˜„

Peter actually got wet!

And Sam got very wet! The little fish of the family continues to love swimming and playing in the water. In fact, I think Sam is actually a mer-man.

I went for a walk to the end of the beach while Sam swam parallel.

When we got to the end of the beach the waves were bigger and I took advantage of the opportunity to sit down on the sand and do a photo shoot of the little mer-man and the sea.

This was a real Ariel moment. All he needed was a rock. πŸ˜†

Jumping the waves

I'm always reminding the boys that the ocean is the world's best and biggest wave pool.

I love this one.

The anatomy of being swallowed up by a wave:

And then to wrap up I got some really good mer-man shots. πŸ˜ƒ

The mer-man swims out to sea. Just not too far! Because he's actually a human. And not just any human, he's my babydoll! πŸ˜„

Not to be forgotten was John, who did some practicing on the skimboard. He got a lot better at it this summer.

It was a good day at the beach with the mer-man and the skimboarder! And my mom and Peter. 😁
