A Very Old Farm

One day last summer while we were waiting to pick John up from his day camp at the museum, my mom, Sam, and I explored a new place in Yarmouth that we hadn't been to before. It was the Taylor-Bray Farm, which must be one of the oldest farms in the country. It dates back to 1639 when it was part of Plymouth colony. That's pretty cool! It was fun to wander around, and we pretty much had the whole place to ourselves.

Why just sit on a tractor...

...when you can stand on it too?

"Two roads diverged in a wood..."
We turned around and didn't take either road, making them both less traveled by us. Ha ha.

What a pretty spot to sit down and relax!

I love finding historical gems like these. Just think of the people who lived on this land hundreds and even thousands of years ago. I love history!
