Technical Help and a Reward For It!

Hmmm, weird stuff is going on. I have a new post on my blog today but it's not updating on anyone else's blog. I don't know if it's because it was a draft for months or what. But in any case, it gives me a good excuse to post again tonight, which I needed to do anyway. I hope it updates now!

This is what I need help with. We had our family pictures taken a few weeks ago. They are now online. I want to put some of them on my blog, but the pictures can't be dragged or right-clicked or anything, so I can't figure out how to get them onto my blog. All there is is a jpeg code. I'm not sure if that's the key or not. I know it's possible to do because the photographer told me today that some of the high school kids she's photographed have put their photos on their Facebook pages, so somehow they figured out how to do it. They didn't scan them in either; they got them from her website because the photos have "Proof" written across all of them. Does anyone know how I can get them onto my blog? If you can help me and it works, I'll give/send you a $10 gift card to anywhere you want...Target, Wal-Mart, Barnes & Noble, Gap, The Children's Place, The Olive Garden, wherever you'd like.

Let me know if you think you can help! Thanks!

What the heck? My blog still isn't getting updated, so none of you know that I've posted new stuff. This is really weird! So now I have another technical issue to ask for help with--does anyone know what's going on and why my blog isn't updating? Aaaah! Blog issues are a pain.

Okay, does it let you copy it? Like drag the cursor over it and see if it highlights up and then right click. That's what I always do...hmmmm....let me know.

Okay, wait, try this. if there's a jpeg code then go to photobucket and create an account and get the jpeg from your downloads?

Donna, it just came through on my Reader. This has been happening more often to me.

In fact, my post from yesterday didn't post for 2 hours. Sometimes, I will hit publish a couple of times, and that will work. RSS feeds can be fickle.

Oh, and about the pictures, if you send me the link to the pictures, and I will see what I can do.

And you don't even need to give me a card!

My sister-in-law had a similar problem with pictures from her photographer and she told me that she couldn't save and/or copy them but then noticed that they have saved in her cookies and she could copy and paste from there. I have no clue if that would work for you, but that's all the advice I have to dispense! =)

Try doing your blog post in html format, and just typing the code for the jpeg in there.

And, yeah, blah, your last post never came through on my reader. Weird!

Hey-couldn't find an email for you so I thought I'd just tell you about making a diaper cake in a comment to your blog!

It's totally not hard...just TIME CONSUMING! Get diapers (plain white looks the best). Unfold and roll them up and put a rubber band around all of them. Make a base of the cake w/ a ton of diapers (like my count?). Put a paper towel roll (just the cardboard roll) in the center of the mass of diaper rolls. Make another layer and then a third layer and then one diaper at the top of the paper towel roll. Wrap a ribbon around each layer. Decorate with whatever you like (linkys, book, spoon, stuff animal, medicine droppers-u can get at the pharmacy for free!)
Good luck!

My friend (in real life, and she has a blog-www.thekirnancrib.blogspot.com) was on Clomid for about 8 months and is now pregnant. She was real moody on it!!!

While we're talking about technical problems...how do I get the date to show up on my post? I can see the month on the archive-but no date on my posted topics.

I had a blogger-friend say that her facebook account crashed her computer today-scary! And our Healthy Diva's is completely gone. I can see the posted stories in my reader-but it's been removed on the browser location. Weird!

You updated on my blog so maybe that problem is fixed...

These suggestions are good, but still no luck. Photobucket wouldn't upload anything from the website, and when I tried uploading a photo with the jpeg code into a blog post, the box for uploading photos didn't even come up. I think Blogger is having some issues right now. I checked cookies, but I didn't see anything. So Kristina, I may send you the link and maybe you can work some magic. I'll e-mail you.

Dolly, when you're writing your posts, do you see the "Post Options" link at the bottom or top of the text box? That's where the date and time of your posts are. It should be publishing that information automatically. I have no idea why it wouldn't be, but maybe you could check out that link when you're creating a post.

Thanks for your help everyone, I really appreciate it! If you think of anything else, let me know.

I wish I knew anything about this kind of stuff! I'll ask my friend who seems to know alot and see if she knows. It did show up on my google reader.

You can't just upload them? Yeah Dr. Ascuito is my primary care doctor, but doesn't prescribe my meds for anything but my heart tacchycardia and stuff like that.

Did you want me to look into it? I'm no expert, but maybe I could figure it out. Stranger things have happened!
