Here's what we did on the Thursday of our honeymoon!
We went back to the Simon Pearce restaurant area where we'd had dinner the night before and got a better look at the waterfalls and reservoir.
There's a covered bridge there, too, of course!
We went for a nice nature walk in Quechee at what was billed as something like New England's little Grand Canyon. It was nice, but not really anything like the actual Grand Canyon!
That's me exploring the petrified wood, which I've always thought was pretty cool. We had some small blocks of it in our house when I was growing up.
There was a friendly couple walking in front of us who had one of their dogs in a backpack! They said he didn't like going for long walks but didn't want to miss out on the fun. It was the funniest thing we saw on the trip! 😂
Nature walks are the best!
We drove up past the Joseph Smith Memorial, which we've both been to before, and we will again. David is a great-grandson of Hyrum Smith and therefore a great-grandnephew of Joseph Smith. His mother's maiden name is Smith from that line. I think that's really cool! Anyway, here's the one picture I took at the Memorial, of the road leading up to it.
We went to more covered bridges, all of which were so picturesque.
Driving around in the beautiful countryside...
We did some shopping in downtown Woodstock, and I took some pictures of things I saw that I liked:
Guilty! 😄 And very freeing!
I'd like to read this!
The library in Woodstock is really pretty, both inside and out.
I mean, 😍😍😍!
We had an early dinner at Worthy Kitchen, which had really good homemade root beer.
These are some of the pictures that David took that day.
I like this picture because it shows both of our shadows as we took pictures of the bridge.
Early that evening, we walked down behind the inn and checked out the river and the views, all of which were very nice.
A fellow resort guest from California was down there, and she used to be a wedding photographer. Perfect!
It was another beautiful day on our honeymoon in Vermont. Putting these posts together really makes me want to go back!
