I already wrote about setting up for our open-house reception. Now here are a few pictures from the actual event! I plan to post my favorite formally taken photos tomorrow.
We did the cake-cutting before people got there. The pictures of it turned out about the way I thought they would. 😆
My friend Sara and her husband picked up all the food we'd ordered. She sent me this picture of her carting it all out (there was quite a bit more than what's shown in the photo!). I'm so thankful for all of the help our friends and family gave us!
We stood under the arch for most of the evening, talking to our guests. It was actually quite fun!

With David's daughter, Jessi. She's 26. It's weird to be a stepmom now!
Post-reception, we went home before leaving on our honeymoon the next day. I photographed the cake tier and flowers, and David photographed me doing that. 😄

I put the bouquet in a vase and the cake flowers in a bowl of water before wrapping up the cake tier and putting it in the freezer for later. (We're going to eat it as one of our Thanksgiving desserts today!)
I had a hard time finding good wedding shoes. I looked both online and in stores. I finally found this great pair on Amazon that was a perfect fit, plus they were comfortable and pretty.
I was very happy with my whole bridal ensemble from head to toe. It all came together beautifully.
It had been a long but good day—one of the best of my life!
