Some of my best friends from church threw me and David a beautiful engagement dinner party at the end of August. The table layout was gorgeous, and we played a really funny newlyweds/couples game. It was such a memorable and special evening. My life has been so blessed by loving and supportive friends over the last several years!
There were red heart-shaped napkins at my and David's places.

I'm so thankful for these loving and supportive friends of mine!
The desserts were some of my and David's favorites: a chocolate mousse cake (mine) and a key lime pie (David's). They were delicious!
My friend Christanne, who is a talented cook and baker, made the chocolate mousse cake, and it was absolutely divine.
They also gave us some very nice gifts: an original and authentic gurgling cod pitcher (for New Englander me) and a Montana cutting board (for Montana-man David), as well as a beautiful bouquet of flowers.
Massachusetts + Montana = true love 😄

This is funny. I ordered two (expensive and overpriced) bridal headbands from Anthropologie to try out. I'm not doing a veil, but I was a little intrigued by the idea of a birdcage veil, so I ordered this headband version just to try. It was pretty, but not the look I was going for.
I had the idea of folding it back and having the short veil part go over my hair, but when I did that, it looked like a hair net! 😂
I assure you that I'll look like a bride instead of a lunch lady on the big day! 😆
