Easter 2022

 Easter weekend was chilly and sunny and as always, special and meaningful.

Here are the boys' Easter baskets left out the night before by a loving and beautiful bunny. ๐Ÿ˜„

And here's mine. I was treated with bath bombs and some really good chocolate. ๐Ÿ˜‹

The scene

In the morning the boys did their traditional egg hunt. They're not too old for it because they still enjoy it! We all do!

I'm pretty sure they found them all this year. Sometimes one or two of the eggs is particularly well hidden and gets overlooked, and we don't find out for a few weeks or even months until it gets discovered with dried-up jellybeans inside.

We had scrambled eggs, bacon, and fruit salad for breakfast, and we made resurrection rolls and watched The Testaments. I love our Easter traditions. Then we went to church--the best place to go on Easter Sunday (and every Sunday, I might add!).

Here I am in the car waiting for the boys after church. The light wasn't good for some reason but that's okay, I kind of look ethereal. ๐Ÿ‘ผ

I hosted Easter dinner for my family at which I took hardly any pictures and also at which we celebrated my niece Hayley's 30th birthday which was going to be happening later that month, but she was going to be out of town then, so we celebrated when we got together for Easter. {I apologize for that poorly written run-on sentence in which I also used too many which's! I go after writers for these things when I edit so I'm being a lazy hypocrite!}

Ice cream pies! I don't think I'd ever had ice cream pie before. It was good!

My mom's traditional Easter bunny cake. Rocco and Shane helped decorate it the night before.

Perhaps this is how Hayley was feeling about turning 30. ๐Ÿ˜†

I hope it's a great decade for her! The 30s are pretty fun.

It was a good Easter!
