A Boy and a Snowstorm

One day this winter during a snowstorm, Sam was looking out the window watching the falling snow and I thought it looked picturesque so I grabbed my camera and started snapping away. I forgot about the pictures until I uploaded them to the computer recently, and I was surprised and pleased by how well they came out. I like how they capture the curiosity of a child at the wonder of nature.

I love how seeing things the way a child sees them brings back the magic and simple wonder and delight of those things.
(Reason #697 to be thankful for children!)

A picture book boy in a picture book moment: beautifully captured! We still have snow outside but it's melting.

Yes, watching a child discover something new, or just observe something really puts things into perspective.
