Birds in a Winter Tree

Last winter during a snowstorm I was fortunate enough to be in the right place at the right time with cooperative little birds who didn't fly away as soon as I got my camera out to start snapping away. These beautiful cardinals were in a tree in the backyard and I took these pictures from the windows at the back of the living room. All of the birds that visited our yard were a true joy to me. I loved watching them, listening to them, feeding them, and photographing them throughout all the seasons of the year. I'm glad I have pictures of them, especially now that we've moved away. I really do miss my beautiful little birdies!

These photos are from a different day when the tree branches were encased in ice. The birdie was back and very cooperative once again. I love cardinals--especially this one! I think these photos are gorgeous!
