Houses and Flowers and Lighthouses, Oh My!

When Peter and I were on Martha's Vineyard last July, on our second and final evening we walked down the street from our hotel to one of the Vineyard's lighthouses. I really enjoyed the beautiful homes, flowers, and views along the way.

It was July 6th, so the Fourth of July decorations were fortunately still up.

LOL! Corny but cute.

One of my favorite shots.

A bedecked swan.

This is the other hotel I considered staying at, the Harbor View Hotel. A friend of mine likes staying here for her Vineyard trips, so sometime I'd like to give it a try.

The Edgartown Lighthouse was originally built in 1828. As you can see, it's very classic and picturesque.

Quite the yacht!

{These Bermuda shorts don't look as good as I thought they did 😖. They'll be exiting my wardrobe this summer!}

The walk back to downtown Edgartown...

I thought this old-fashioned chimney was cool.

Another one of my favorite shots:

It probably costs a small fortune to rent this house. Our Cape house is a way better deal! Ha ha.

I love this beautiful, historic island!
