After the exciting New Year's Eve drone show in Provincetown, we were in for another treat the next morning—we got caught in a bona fide blizzard/snow squall on our walk to the beach! It was totally unexpected; it wasn't even snowing when we left!
The beginning of the walk—I wanted to get a few pictures of the house in winter:
Soon after we left, it started snowing suddenly and heavily. We got to the beach about 15 minutes later, and my new phone camera took some good pictures of it snowing on the beach that my old phone never would have gotten!
Everything was peaceful and quiet as the snow poured down from the sky.
Sand and snow, such a juxtaposition!
The house looked stormier when we arrived home. Obviously, that's because it WAS stormier!
We were soaked!
David, my snowman...
Hot cocoa and a fire were especially fitting and perfect after our blizzard adventure on the beach.
David made the cocoa and the fire. I love having him for a husband!
David also did a deep cleaning of the living room armchair (on his own, without me asking 😮).
The armchair BEFORE, kind of dirty and worn:
David giving it the scrub-down:
He used his Shop-Vac too.
Here's the armchair AFTER, like new!
We went on another beach walk the next day. All was calm, all was bright, and there was no snow in the air, only on the ground (and vegetation and houses, etc.).
I liked this cool pathway of sand between the snow and the water.
Walking back to the house again. Note the blue sky in the distance. Very different from the day before!
2026 was off to a fun and memorable start for my snowman and me!
