In one more week, John will reach the halfway point of his mission! It's gone by fast {thank goodness!}. He's doing great, and I'm thrilled to see his spiritual and emotional progress as he labors in the Lord's vineyard. I miss him SO MUCH—even more than I did in the beginning, now that the novelty has worn off. On to the second and final year!

The mission president, President Floyd, was released after three years (that's how long mission presidents and their wives serve). John liked him so much, and he was a great teacher and influence on John. I'm so grateful for his kind leadership and example.
