A Few Hours at the Cape

In March, I had mini-splits installed at the Cape house, and last month I went to the house for a few hours for the electrical work to be inspected and to get them up and running. In between doing that (or rather, overseeing and learning how they work), I managed to get a walk in to the beach, which is always a nice thing to sneak in when you're at the Cape if you can. Well, as long as the weather is nice enough for it, which it was!

This house usually has a cute seasonal or holiday set-up on the table, and it didn't disappoint.

A perfect scallop shell

I like walking out to the end of this rock jetty. It was weird that the tide was in farther on the right side than it was on the left. Strange!

I had edited and published an article about how to find sea glass that very week, and because of that, I did indeed find a piece of sea glass! Although in retrospect, I think it might just be a translucent-ish stone. 😆 I'm not sure, but I'm going to go with sea glass!

In a couple of months, this will be greenery instead of brownery.

I've been tracking the progress of the construction of these two houses since last fall. It looks like they might be done for summer.

There they are, side by side. These two lots used to be inhabited by small cottage-type houses, both of which were demolished last year to make way for these much bigger houses. C'est la vie.

It was a productive and pleasant few hours spent at the Cape! I wish I could have stayed overnight, but, life.
