Easter this year was nice. The weather was sunny and pretty mild, and it was the first one with David. We spent a lovely day together from morning until evening, with Sam there for the morning part of it. It was the first time the three of us went to church together, too.
This is what Easter is all about: the atonement and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and what it means for all of humanity. Words can't adequately express my love for Christ and all that He means to me. I literally thank God daily for all that His Son has done, continues to do, and will do for me.

I hadn't seen this picture before. I love it!
I bought these Easter week cards on Amazon, thinking they were the same ones that Deseret Book sells, but they were different, and not in good ways.

They were made in China, and the wording and poor grammar on some of the cards showed that, as well as a few totally incorrect scripture references.

They also used different versions of the Bible, not just the King James Version.
The thoughts and intents were still the same (I am a Christian, after all), but I should have just gotten the Deseret Book ones. They were still nice to use, though.
This one was fine.
On the day before Easter, I worked at the temple for the morning, and then Sam and I went to my mom's house for an early Easter brunch with some of my family, and we celebrated Hayley's birthday, which was a couple of weeks away. The weather was just about perfect.
On Easter morning, there were three Easter baskets on the table! David's kind of filled in for John's (who I was really missing!).
Sam's
Mine
David's. He said he'd never had an Easter basket before. A travesty, corrected!
After church and dropping Sam off at his dad's, David and I walked around the town common to see the Boston Marathon happenings. It was being held the very next morning. It starts right here in my town.
About 20,000 runners crossed that start line about 24 hours later!

And this is the first-ever picture of David on the blog! Now we
have to last. π
These were my favorite feet from the artistic winged feet exhibit.
David snapped a couple of candids of me checking out the feet. π
In the late afternoon, we went to my mom's house and had a delicious Easter dinner of ham and potatoes with her and my brother Ben. I brought a yummy carrot cake from the Muffin House bakery that we enjoyed for dessert.
My mom took a nice picture of me and David in front of the blossoming magnolia tree in her backyard.
Blossoming, like our love! πππ
I like this picture so much that I have two versions: the original above and the zoomed-in, cropped one below. Definitely worthy of a picture frame!
It was a lovely Easter, and a largely unexpected one for me now that romantic love has somehow found its way into my life again!
