Tulip Time

Last month we spent a day in Nauvoo, Illinois, which is a significant place in Mormon history (I'm Mormon in case you didn't know) and is still a significant and special place because of the temple and church history sites that are there. The temple grounds are beautifully well-kept and I took some pictures of the colorful tulips there. I like how tulips have a big hollow cup that fills up with sunshine and illuminates the whole flower. They're so beautiful in their elegant simplicity.

Location: Nauvoo, Illinois

I like the combination of yellow and purple together; what a nice contrast!

These tulips have sharper-looking edges that look like they were designed and cut with nature's scissors.
